I had a quick go at making a badge for CLFC and here it is;

What do you guys think? I just tried to keep it simple if we’re going to have it on our shirts and i didn’t know what else to put on it to make it relevant.
If everyone’s okay with it then it’ll be on our shirts that we order. I think we shall be chosing the adidas one with the white arm. These shirts will be around £18 each + the extras for the badge, name and number(s).
So far the squad numbers that have been taken are;
1 –
2 –
3 – Fairhurst
4 – Goldberg
5 – Dowse
6 – Fearn
7 – Watkins
8 – Hodge
9 –
10 – Ostlere
11 – Phillips
19 – Merrell
23 – Hart
86 – Hutchinson
So state below in the comments what number you want if you’re not on that list, as we’re going to order these asap.

Utility man Matt Watkins has pledged his footballing future to Classic Lupton for another season. There have been many rumours about the experienced campaigners’ future due his university commitments. But the rumours have been silenced after Watkins sorted out his commitments with his tutor. This will allow Watkins’ to play in the Leeds University Saturday 11-a-side football league for his 4th season and his second season with Classic Lupton.
“It’s been a long process in sorting out what I was doing this year, but now it’s sorted I’m just looking forward to starting playing football again! We’re going to be miss a few good players from last season, but we’ve also got some good players coming back from season-long loans away from Lupton. I’m hoping for a more successful season then the last and hoping we can go on to push for the Division 1 Title this year and go on to win the Cup. Most things are in place for the coming year now, but i’m still looking for a accomodation and a job in Leeds. Hopefully both will be in place asap and I can get back onto playing football and sorting out the next social.”

Q: A poor defeat, what are your thoughts?
A: Well, to be honest I think the ref lost it for us in the first half. Everyone saw the blatant shoulder barge in the first half, and he was at it the whole time. You could see him hanging around the back of their defence, ready to rugby tackle any of our players that got through on goal.

The 3G has been booked on;
- Saturday 18th April 5-7pm
-Monday 20th April 8-10pm
On both of these occasions the whole pitch has been booked on the 3G. We are hoping to arrange some sort of a friendly game on either of these occasions. Just to let everyone know that they should come back for the saturday before we start term. If everyone could say if they will be back by then or not would be good.

Jonny “the bulldog” Lamb… (drinking fine to follow at next social)
Well done to Jonny and all the lads who helped put out TFU… We’re currently in the best form in the history of the club; picking a team next time out will cause me many a dilema no doubt…
Cheers to Watkins for 1) taking control and 2) referring
Our next opponents i dont know yet… most teams rearranged their fixtures from the last weekend of term… obvioulsy haven’t the strength in depth of the Classico’s
For those that are bothered… skiing was cracking; I just hope that captain Thorpe will be sober by the time our next fixture comes around – one cannot deny him of making the most of his holiday

Just a quick post about asking who is around during the easter break for some football. The 3G will be empty all of the time, so if you could please just comment on this post saying if you’re around during easter or when you will be back to leeds because we want to play some football. Even if its just a kick about with a couple of us or a full training session.
